MET Pride Academy School and Therapy Center offers a highly successful program tailored for youths with diverse learning, personal, or life challenges. We support children with additional needs such as those with a disability, developmental delay, autism spectrum disorder or some other need.
We major in ABA – Applied Behavior Analysis. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a scientific approach to understanding behavior. ABA refers to a set of principles that focus on how behaviors change, or are affected by the environment, as well as how learning takes place. The term behavior refers to skills and actions needed to talk, play, and live.
The principles of ABA applied behavior analysis target the four functions of behavior, which include: escape or avoidance, attention seeking, access to tangibles or reinforcements, and instant gratification (or “because it feels good”).
We provide accommodated education for students with disabilities such as learning disabilities (such as dyslexia), communication disorders, emotional and behavioral disorders (such as ADHD), physical disabilities (such as osteogenesis imperfecta, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida etc.
We also offer early intervention, which can result in positive changes in health, language and communication, cognitive development, and social and emotional development for your child.
